The purpose of the H.323 Gate project is to extend the work of the Open323 group ( http://open323.org ) by adding more functionalities that let the existing source work with application players that are popular in the
marketplace, for example, the audio/video transfer from the Netmeeting to QuickTime. In order to do this transmission, a modular to construct RTP/RTCP packet delivering media data to QuickTime is necessary.

It is also a goal to extend the understanding of how commercial H.323 inplementations work together.
